Parents of fallen service members spoke at a press conference on Thursday morning, an event during which they accused the U.S. government of complicity in the deaths of their sons. The families highlighted a number of grievances, including the notion that military brass invited a Muslim cleric to their children’s funeral in 2011 — an imam who they claim “disparaged in Arabic the memory of these servicemen.”

Three families of fallen Navy SEAL Team 6 special forces members and one family of an Army National Guardsman held the event at the National Press Club to make this startling allegation, among many others. Their children perished during the fatal Chinook helicopter crash that occurred in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011. The presser was an effort, as noted in a press release, to corroborate the notion that the U.S. government is “as much responsible for the deaths of their sons as is the Taliban.”

Before there was Benghazi, there was Extortion 17, which was the Chinook helicopter that was shot down by the Taliban. All 38 people aboard, including 17 Navy SEALs and seven Afghan National Army commandos, were killed. Among the dead was Navy SEAL Aaron Vaughn. In an exclusive interview with Freedom Outpost, Aaron’s father, Billy Vaughn told us what he knows and about his new book due out this month, Betrayed: Exposing the High Cost of the War on Terror, and the corruption and incompetence behind what took place that led to his son’s and others deaths.

 Mr. Vaughn told me that he and his wife have dropped out of the lawsuit that we reported on back in May when the story about the Muslim cleric in Afghanistan prayed and condemned six Navy SEAL team members to Hell, saying that the lawsuit was “too broad” and was not in their best interests.

However, Vaughn did say that they were very much involved in the investigation that has been announced by Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) recently, following a visit that he and his wife took to Washington, D.C to meet with Chaffetz and Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) a little over a month and a half ago.

When asked about the objective of their involvement with Congress, Vaughn said that “it’s going to be a pretty high goal, but Vice President Joe Biden committed a breach of national security when he outed the SEALS. We want to see him held accountable and if need be, we want to see him punished.”

A couple whose Navy SEAL son was killed in Afghanistan have joined a class-action lawsuit against the U.S. government over the National Security Agency's collection of Verizon phone records. 

Charles and Mary Anne Strange joined the suit, which seeks billions in damages, after it was filed in federal court in D.C. on Sunday, accusing Obama's administration of breaching the privacy of millions of Americans.

The couple, from Philadelphia, lost their 25-year-old son Michael in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2011 while he served in Afghanistan.

CNN Bombshell: CIA Personnel in Benghazi Silenced with Threats to Their Families by Obama Regime

CNN has released yet another bombshell in the ongoing Benghazi scandal, and it is sure to shock those who haven’t been paying attention. Prepare for a window into the “transparent” Obama administration.

According to CNN’s Jake Tapper, the Obama administration is threatening CIA operatives who were on the ground during the deadly terrorist attack in Benghazi to keep them silent:

CNN has learned the CIA is involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy agency’s Benghazi secrets from ever leaking out.

Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency’s missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency’s workings.

The goal of the questioning, according to sources, is to find out if anyone is talking to the media or Congress.

It is being described as pure intimidation, with the threat that any unauthorized CIA employee who leaks information could face the end of his or her career.

In exclusive communications obtained by CNN, one insider writes, “You don’t jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well.”

This should quell all naysaying that Benghazi is a “phony scandal” and “there is no cover-up.” Possible links to the Benghazi story that the Obama administration might want to cover-up are the arms shipments to al Qaeda-affiliated terrorists in the February 17th Martyr’s Brigade and potential weapons smuggling to al Qaeda-connected rebels in Syria through the Turkish consul.

The CIA operatives’ story is similar to that given by the number two diplomat in Benghazi, Libya — Gregory Hicks. Under oath, Hicks testified that he was told by the State Department not to discuss Benghazi with House Republicans and then was demoted when he did.

It came out earlier this week that diplomatic security specialist David Ubben attempted to rescue Sean Smith before he was killed and then came to the aid of SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty while they were under siege. Mortar fire eventually killed Woods and Doherty, and Ubben was injured and left for 20 hours on a Benghazi rooftop.

In mid-July, Rep. Frank Wolf announced that Benghazi survivors were being silenced by the Obama administration, and are suspected of asking or forcing them to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements. 

Recently, a group of 1,000 special operations veterans unrolled a 60-foot petition to get to the bottom of what happened in Benghazi and why the Obama administration is covering it up.

Rep. Wolf: Sources Say CIA Was Moving Guns in Benghazi

CNN reports the CIA had dozens of operatives in Benghazi during the deadly September 11 attack last year, yet since the attack, the spy agency has allegedly engaged in an intimidation campaign of its own members to keep personnel quiet about the events of that night and why the CIA was in eastern Libya to begin with. 

“We’re getting calls from people who are close to people who were [in Benghazi at the time] that they were moving guns. So where are the guns?” asked Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA), a sub-committee chairman of the Appropriations Committee. Wolf also wonders what Ambassador Chris Stevens was actually doing in Benghazi on that night. Stevens and three others were killed over the course of the attacks. 

“Are they in a warehouse somewhere? Some people say they moved on to Turkey and then from Turkey to Syria," Wolf told Breitbart News on Thursday. "Did they fall into the hands of some of the Jihadis?"

"Nobody knows, so I think there are so many questions from the failure to respond to where the guns went,” he stated.

Wolf is currently attempting to create a Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi attack by launching a discharge petition from committee. He needs 218 signatures to take the issue to a vote on the floor.
