Tennessee Welcomes Obama With Hundreds of Protesters

WRCBtv.com | Chattanooga News, Weather
President Obama visited Chattanooga, TN today where he visited an Amazon distribution center to announce his new jobs plan. If Obama was expecting an army of supporters- he was surely disappointed. Organizers for the protest originally intended to hold the rally in the parking lot of the distribution center. However, after plans for the protest made headlines the area was closed to the public. Only Obama supporters were allowed in. Not only did citizens act by taking to the streets, but the entire state took action.

Chattanooga Times Free Press, a local news paper, ran a story welcoming Obama to the state. It reads:

Protesters Line Lee Hwy in Chattanooga, Tennessee as Obama Drives by.
Protesters Line Lee Hwy in Chattanooga, Tennessee as Obama Drives by

”President Obama,

Welcome to Chattanooga, one of hundreds of cities throughout this great nation struggling to succeed in spite of your foolish policies that limit job creation, stifle economic growth and suffocate the entrepreneurial spirit.

Forgive us if you are not greeted with the same level of Southern hospitality that our area usually bestows on its distinguished guests.”
The Tennessee Republican Party ran television ads in the Chattanooga market  to welcome Obama. One commercial states:
“We’re succeeding in Tennessee. Not because of your liberal policies, but in spite of them.”
Tennessee’s most prominent GOP politicians were sure to stay away from Obama during his visit to the state in an attempt to distance themselves from the President. US senators Bob Corker (R) and Lamar Alexander (R- up for reelection), have been under the gun for voting in favor of the Obama’s policies more than 60% of the time and being named the most liberal GOP senators in the South.

Governor Bill Haslam (R) has also been under extreme scrutiny from his constituents for not blocking all aspects of Obamacare in the state when state senators and representatives attempted to nullify it.

Obama also spoke in favor of the Marketplace Fairness Act, which would tax sales on the internet. This is why President Obama chose to speak at the Amazon warehouse. Senator Alexander, Senator Corker and Governor Haslam are supporting the President’s push to increase taxes on the American people. In fact, Alexander co-wrote the legislation.

The event was coordinated by Matt Collins with Tennessee Campaign for Liberty. Collins says,
Working families just can’t afford another new tax. It’s sad to see Governor Haslam and Senator Alexander pushing President Obama’s agenda by supporting the Internet sales tax.”

Rush Hits It Out Of The Park Tonight In An Hour Interview With Greta Van Susteren Tonight

Rush Limbaugh joined Greta Van Susteren for the full hour Tuesday night, and Limbaugh spent the first segment of the program bashing President Obama, sharing the "Limbaugh Theorem" (foxnews.com/on-air/on-the-record) for how the president governs, and taking the "slavish media" to task for not holding him accountable. He also had some choice words for Republicans capitulating too much to the Democratic agenda.

FOR MORE foxnews.com/on-air/on-the-record

On the "phony scandals" controversy, Limbaugh admitted he was stunned that the president was able to survive 2012 with the bad economy on his back. He came up with the "Limbaugh theorem" to explain why so many people hate Obama's policies yet like him and vote for him: he's "constantly campaigning" and never governing who keeps insisting nothing that ever happens in Washington is his fault.

Limbaugh surmised that Obama could only get away with this because of the "slavish media" that will never call him out on anything. He said that most journalists are "all part of the elitist New York-Washington-Boston media academic corridor and they think they are Obama."

He admitted the 2010 midterms, while it resulted in Republican gains, were not necessarily that good for the party, because no one was "articulating an agenda" and all the Republican votes were "anti-Obama" votes, not votes for a viable alternative. He also slammed Republican leadership for brushing aside the tea party and "its conservative base on a number of issues," saying the big problem with the GOP is too much capitulation to what the Democrats want. Why doesn't the Republican Party embrace them, bring them in and try to grow and have at least come up with a way to reach out and attach themselves to these people, a majority of voters? Instead they're capitulating with what the Democrats want. And not just on this, but on immigration, amnesty, whatever you want to call it.

Talk show radio icon Rush Limbaugh goes 'On the Record' with Greta Van Susteren in an exclusive sitdown interview.

The following is a quick transcript and is subject to change for clarifications.

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: In talking about the scandals, President Obama says the scandals are phony.

Why do you think he says they're phony, because he believes it or is there strategy?

RUSH LIMBAUGH:  No, there's a strategy.  I -- I've been troubled by something with the Obama -- you know, I playfully call it the regime (inaudible).  And it is.  Looks like a regime.  I've been troubled.  I've been amazed.  Here is a man (inaudible) has done great damage to this country, policies have done great damage (inaudible), have done great damage to the American culture, the American psyche.

(Inaudible) is a sense of hopelessness and depression out there.  And it's his policies that have done this.  And what has always amazed me is how he's not (inaudible).  He has an agenda; he's been implementing it.

But the -- what I call the low information voters that voted for him and other Democrats do not associate Obama's policy and agenda with the condition of the country, the economy or whatever.  That's always the (inaudible).  I've never, never known a president to be immune from economic circumstances at an election as he was in 2012.

It all became clear to me.  There was a "New York Times" story -- I think one of their blog posts on the Web back in February, and it basically said he (inaudible) what I just said to you.  It said most people disapprove of the Obama agenda.  They don't like the direction the country's going.  They like him and they think he's great for the country.

But how can that be?  Intellectually, how can a majority of people (inaudible) -- and you know they oppose ObamaCare by 55-60 percent in another poll.  They are worried about jobs.

How in the world can they like him, reelect him and yet disapprove of everything he's doing?  And I came up, well, I call it the Limbaugh theorem.  And you hear other people talking about it in the sense that he's a bystander president or he's outside Washington.

The way he does this, he never appears to be governing.  That's why he's constantly campaigning.

Why is there a campaign going on for ObamaCare?  It's already the law of the land.

Why is he out campaigning for all this stuff that's already law?  It's already going to happen.

And my theory is that Obama has positioned himself as an outsider not attached to anything that’s happening. What he has made happen – he positions himself as opposed to it and against it and fighting for everybody else to overcome what he has done. And that’s one of the reasons why the constant campaign, so he doesn’t appear to be governing, so he doesn’t appear to be part of Washington, so he appears to have this mysterious powerful bunch of forces that are opposing him and stopping him from doing his job, and stopping him from giving people proper healthcare and stopping him from making their home values go up but he’s constantly out there fighting it and he does that by constantly campaigning and never seems to be governing. So all of these scandals he calls he calls them, they’re not distraction, they’re real. But he likes them because they detract from the absolute reality of what has happened to this country as a result of his policies.

Small business paramilitary raids by IRS, DOJ documentary released

Small business paramilitary raids by IRS, DOJ documentary released

A short documentary “Rampant INjustice Exposes Federal Abuse of Power” was released late last night by Jan Morgan of JanMorganMedia shows that between 2009 and 2011, the blatant trampling of the Constitutional rights of Americans during white collar crime investigations by the Department of Justice and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Internal Revenue Service, increased substantially, under the Obama administration.

During that period, IRS audits against small businesses increased 32%.

Among hundreds of businesses raided by the IRS and Department of Justice, using paramilitary tactics, the documentary profiles such known companies as Mountain Pure Water Bottling Company and Duncan Outdoors, Inc., both situated in Arkansas and Gibson Guitar located in Tennessee.

“This documentary is not about the guilt or innocence of the citizens involved. It is about the increasing number of unconstitutional, paramilitary, gestapo style raid tactics involving two agencies of the federal government,” said Jan Morgan, an AP Award winning Investigative TV Journalist and Conservative Columnist.

Jan said that these are white collar crime investigations where heavily armed, hostile government raids by 40 to 50 agents are being utilized as opposed to a few agents entering the businesses with proper search warrants to acquire the financial records sought.

“Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the tactics, the constitutional rights of citizens who work in these businesses, yet have nothing to do with the financial transactions of the owners, have been undeserved victims of these frightening raids…unlawfully detained for hours, intimidated, interrogated without the presence of a lawyer and their personal property confiscated,” Morgan said.

Gary Duncan, a former Green Beret who served for two decades and owner of raided Duncan Outdoors said, “I think that as the result of the raid, a lot of people, whose opinion of…of my integrity would be damaged…and that bothers me a lot. My credibility will be damaged forever.”

“You know when something that negative and that powerful is done to you…you have nothing that you can do.”

Government Scientist Fired for Exposing the Secretary of Interior's "Intentional Falsification," "Bias," and "Predetermined Intention" To Destroy the Klamath Dams

Government Scientist Fired for Telling the Truth

Published on Jan 18, 2013
The Department of Interior is misleading the public and purging scientists who don't go along with an increasingly radical green agenda. Eight government scientists were recently fired or reassigned after voicing concerns to their superiors about faulty environmental science used for policy decisions. Which begs the question, "Are some government agencies manipulating science to advance political agendas?"

Rural America has long been a target of environmentalists. Government agencies such as the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and the DOI (Department of Interior) have been hijacked by extreme elements of environmentalism and rural America is feeling the heat. When environmental protocol is pitted against the welfare of a rural community, these agencies almost exclusively side with the environmental cause, and adverse consequences to the human element are considered last, if at all.

DOI has engaged in an aggressive crusade to obstruct and undermine the use of natural resources, restrict human access to public lands, and increase its influence over private property. Decisions made by the agency are presumed to be based on sound scientific analysis, but often times policy is driving the science, rather than science driving environmental policy. This has led to harmful decisions and a violation of the public trust.

According to the DOI the premise for Klamath River dams removal is to restore Coho salmon spawning habitat above the dams even though there is no conclusive evidence the Coho were native to the area. Official DOI documents reveal scientific concerns that dam removal may, in fact, result in species decline based on millions of tons of toxic sediment build up behind the dams that will make its way to the ocean. Water temperature increases without the dams could also negatively impact the salmon. These studies were ignored. Concerns about the human toll and impact to local Klamath Basin communities were also brushed aside. Those most interested in the well-being of the environment they live and work in, were given a backseat to special interests thousands of miles away.

The Klamath hydroelectric dams provide clean inexpensive energy to thousands of local residents who will be forced to pay much higher premiums if the dams are removed because California has strict new laws for use of renewable energy. The town of Happy Camp sits on the banks of the Klamath River and could be wiped out with seasonal flooding without the dams. Once Coho salmon are introduced into the upper Klamath, farmers and ranchers will be faced with water use restrictions and invasive government regulation of private land. The economic impact will be devastating, property values will depreciate and the agriculture community, often operating on slim profit margins, will be subjected to the fate of the once vibrant logging industry which fell victim to the spotted owl crusades.

Statement from Dr. Paul Houser, Klamath dams whistleblower 12/13/12 on DOI's firing him for exposing Interior's lack of scientific integrity: "The settlement of my wrongful firing “whistleblower” claim is very good to get behind me. I can’t say much about the settlement, but that it was a good solution for me personally and it did not result in getting my job back. My scientific misconduct allegation is being handled separately and is still under investigation. The Department of the Interior had the final outside panel report delivered back in August/September. I have repeatedly asked the Department for their findings and they indicate that statements will be issued soon."

Greta Van Susteren Shows Never Seen Video Of Glen Doherty, Slain Benghazi Navy Seal

Never-before-seen footage of slain former Navy SEAL Glen Doherty has been released in an effort to put a face on one of the victims of the deadly Benghazi terror attack. While the White House has recently started accusing its political opponents of focusing on “phony” scandals to distract from the real issues, the video makes it clear that the Benghazi scandal is certainly anything but “phony.”
