Rush Hits It Out Of The Park Tonight In An Hour Interview With Greta Van Susteren Tonight

Rush Limbaugh joined Greta Van Susteren for the full hour Tuesday night, and Limbaugh spent the first segment of the program bashing President Obama, sharing the "Limbaugh Theorem" (foxnews.com/on-air/on-the-record) for how the president governs, and taking the "slavish media" to task for not holding him accountable. He also had some choice words for Republicans capitulating too much to the Democratic agenda.

On the "phony scandals" controversy, Limbaugh admitted he was stunned that the president was able to survive 2012 with the bad economy on his back. He came up with the "Limbaugh theorem" to explain why so many people hate Obama's policies yet like him and vote for him: he's "constantly campaigning" and never governing who keeps insisting nothing that ever happens in Washington is his fault.

Limbaugh surmised that Obama could only get away with this because of the "slavish media" that will never call him out on anything. He said that most journalists are "all part of the elitist New York-Washington-Boston media academic corridor and they think they are Obama."

He admitted the 2010 midterms, while it resulted in Republican gains, were not necessarily that good for the party, because no one was "articulating an agenda" and all the Republican votes were "anti-Obama" votes, not votes for a viable alternative. He also slammed Republican leadership for brushing aside the tea party and "its conservative base on a number of issues," saying the big problem with the GOP is too much capitulation to what the Democrats want. Why doesn't the Republican Party embrace them, bring them in and try to grow and have at least come up with a way to reach out and attach themselves to these people, a majority of voters? Instead they're capitulating with what the Democrats want. And not just on this, but on immigration, amnesty, whatever you want to call it.

Talk show radio icon Rush Limbaugh goes 'On the Record' with Greta Van Susteren in an exclusive sitdown interview.

The following is a quick transcript and is subject to change for clarifications.

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: In talking about the scandals, President Obama says the scandals are phony.

Why do you think he says they're phony, because he believes it or is there strategy?

RUSH LIMBAUGH:  No, there's a strategy.  I -- I've been troubled by something with the Obama -- you know, I playfully call it the regime (inaudible).  And it is.  Looks like a regime.  I've been troubled.  I've been amazed.  Here is a man (inaudible) has done great damage to this country, policies have done great damage (inaudible), have done great damage to the American culture, the American psyche.

(Inaudible) is a sense of hopelessness and depression out there.  And it's his policies that have done this.  And what has always amazed me is how he's not (inaudible).  He has an agenda; he's been implementing it.

But the -- what I call the low information voters that voted for him and other Democrats do not associate Obama's policy and agenda with the condition of the country, the economy or whatever.  That's always the (inaudible).  I've never, never known a president to be immune from economic circumstances at an election as he was in 2012.

It all became clear to me.  There was a "New York Times" story -- I think one of their blog posts on the Web back in February, and it basically said he (inaudible) what I just said to you.  It said most people disapprove of the Obama agenda.  They don't like the direction the country's going.  They like him and they think he's great for the country.

But how can that be?  Intellectually, how can a majority of people (inaudible) -- and you know they oppose ObamaCare by 55-60 percent in another poll.  They are worried about jobs.

How in the world can they like him, reelect him and yet disapprove of everything he's doing?  And I came up, well, I call it the Limbaugh theorem.  And you hear other people talking about it in the sense that he's a bystander president or he's outside Washington.

The way he does this, he never appears to be governing.  That's why he's constantly campaigning.

Why is there a campaign going on for ObamaCare?  It's already the law of the land.

Why is he out campaigning for all this stuff that's already law?  It's already going to happen.

And my theory is that Obama has positioned himself as an outsider not attached to anything that’s happening. What he has made happen – he positions himself as opposed to it and against it and fighting for everybody else to overcome what he has done. And that’s one of the reasons why the constant campaign, so he doesn’t appear to be governing, so he doesn’t appear to be part of Washington, so he appears to have this mysterious powerful bunch of forces that are opposing him and stopping him from doing his job, and stopping him from giving people proper healthcare and stopping him from making their home values go up but he’s constantly out there fighting it and he does that by constantly campaigning and never seems to be governing. So all of these scandals he calls he calls them, they’re not distraction, they’re real. But he likes them because they detract from the absolute reality of what has happened to this country as a result of his policies.

Issa Announces Fast and Furious Subpoenas of Holder and the DOJ

10/9/2011 Congressman Darrell Issa appeared with Chris Wallace today to discuss where he is with the investigation into Fast and Furious.  Congressman Issa indicated that the next phase of the investigation will include subpoenas of Eric Holder and others in the DOJ.

Congressman Issa also indicated there's more they are investigating in the DOE Loan Program as well.  This is after the DOE loaned $537M to a solar energy company, Solyndra and it declared bankruptcy August 2011. Solyndra received federal help in 2009 and never turned a profit. In March 2010, PriceWaterhouseCoopers raised questions about the company's solvency. The next month, a White House Office of Management and Budget staffer worried that the Department of Energy "has one loan to monitor and they seem completely oblivious." Another said it was "terrifying" to consider that some of DOE's next projects would make Solyndra look "better."

URGENT CALL TO ACTION~STAND UP FOR FOX NEWS

In just a few days, the White House Correspondents Association will decide which news organization will be awarded the seat recently vacated by Helen Thomas. The news organizations most actively vying for the seat are FOX, NPR and Bloomberg News. (Note: We just found out that this action is even more urgent as the meeting has been moved up from Monday to Sunday, August 1st)

The Progressives have launched another smear campaign against FOX News in an effort to persuade the WH Correspondents Association to award the vacated front row seat to NPR instead of FOX News.

Check out the website launched to ask Progressives to sign a petition in support of NPR:
CREDO Campaign~Fox or NPR
Check out who this organization raises money for: $65 million in change. Since 1985, members have generated more than $65 million for nonprofit groups simply by using our services

In an effort to counter this assault by the Progressives, please copy and paste the following comments to the White House Correspondents Association contact form on their website and email them this message:

COPY AND PASTE:

Award the seat vacated by Helen Thomas to FOX News. FOX News continues to be the number 1 source of cable news.  NPR is a left-wing propaganda operation, not a legitimate news organization and does not deserve the coveted front row seat.

In a recent article from the Huffington Post dated 7/28/10, "Cable News Ratings July 2010: Fox News Dominates, MSNBC Tops CNN," the ratings show FOX News had almost 3 times more viewers than the closest competitor in cable news.

"Fox News continued its domination of cable news ratings in July. The network averaged 1.85 million viewers in primetime for the month--more than CNN, MSNBC and HLN combined. Fox News also drew 461,000 viewers in the coveted A25-54 demo.

While far behind Fox News, MSNBC still beat CNN in primetime for the sixth straight month. MSNBC averaged 679,000 total viewers and 229,000 in the A25-54 demo.

CNN averaged 530,000 total viewers and 146,000 in the A25-54 demo, while sister network HLN 452,000 total viewers and 145,000 in the A25-54 demo."

The viewers have spoken. FOX News is the MOST deserving of this prestigious seat. They have proven their reporting is what this country wants to hear.

FOX News deserves to be on the front row!

Sincerely,

Megyn Kelly's Exclusive Interview With DOJ Whistleblower J. Christian Adams

PART 2

PART 3

PART 4

Bartle Bull reacts to former DOJ attorney on Black Panther case

J. Christian Adams provided some additional insight through an article with Pajamas Media:

Soon after his confirmation, Attorney General Eric Holder labeled us a nation of cowards, a people supposedly unwilling or afraid to discuss race. Based on my experience as an attorney at the Civil Rights Division at the Justice Department, Holder has far more to fear from that discussion than do the rest of us.
If we had that frank, truthful discussion about race, we’d learn that the Obama administration doesn’t believe some civil rights laws protect every American. The Bush Civil Rights Division was willing to protect all Americans from racial discrimination; during the Obama years, the Holder years, only some Americans will be protected. Americans have a right to know and judge the racial policies of the administration they elected in 2008.
The dismissal of the voter intimidation lawsuit against armed New Black Panthers in Philadelphia is the most prominent example of this hostility toward race-neutral enforcement of civil rights laws. But that dismissal is far from the only manifestation of the beliefs infesting the Department. Many other cases and decisions — some of which I will detail below — are in question and deserve scrutiny.
On Election Day 2008, armed men wearing the uniforms and jackboots of the New Black Panther Party were posted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the entrance to a polling site. They brandished a weapon and intimidated voters. After the election, the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice brought a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party and these armed thugs. I, and other Justice lawyers, obtained an entry of default after the defendants ignored the case against them.
Before a final judgment could be entered, however, our superiors ordered dismissal of the claims.
Congress has sought answers from the Department about why the Black Panther case was dismissed. The Department has repeatedly claimed the “facts and law” did not support the case — which of course is false. Others have speculated about a White House involvement. But I believe the best explanation for the corrupt dismissal of the case is the profound hostility by the Obama Civil Rights Division in the Justice Department towards a race-neutral enforcement of civil rights laws.
This hostility was — and is — on open display within the Department of Justice.
Example after example exists where this dirty little secret manifested itself within the Department and affected Department policy.
Attorney General Holder and his political appointees have traveled the country claiming that they have “reopened” the Civil Rights Division. The Civil Rights Division is “back in business,” they announce, without a sniff of media scrutiny. In time, statistics and other information will present truth to this lie, as the Bush Civil Rights Division had a more robust civil rights agenda than the Obama Civil Rights Division. During the Bush years, the Civil Rights Division brought more cases in many areas of the law, particularly voting rights.
Race-neutral enforcement of civil rights law is a principle nearly all Americans agree with. Equality before the law has been cherished since the founding, and a bloody Civil War sacrificed generations of treasure and life to enshrine race equality into constitutional law.
Two obvious examples of the Obama administration’s hostility toward race-neutral enforcement of the civil rights laws:
The Department recently filed a brief supporting the use of race-based preferences at the University of Texas. Holder’s DOJ wants Texas to be able to give extra admissions credit to the skin color of certain college applicants. Of course some races won’t get the benefit of these racial preferences, while the political allies of the administration will.
In New Haven, Connecticut, the Holder Justice Department took the side of those who wanted to racially discriminate against white and Hispanic firefighters seeking promotion. Not surprisingly, the Supreme Court rejected the position of the Civil Rights Division. (It is no accident, incidentally, that senior Department attorney Steven Rosenbaum was involved in the formation of the Department’s racially biased approach in New Haven, just as he was involved in the dismissal of the New Black Panther case when he was acting deputy assistant attorney general, a political position in the Civil Rights Division.)
It wasn’t always this way.
