Obama Administration in Pre-Edited Talking Points: Al Qaeda Behind Benghazi Attack

The recent New York Times article attempting to downplay terrorist involvement in the Benghazi attack that claimed the lives of four Americans on Sept. 11, 2012, directly contradicts evidence in the now infamous pre-edited talking points of then-United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice.

“Months of investigation by The New York Times, centered on extensive interviews with Libyans in Benghazi who had direct knowledge of the attack there and its context, turned up no evidence that Al Qaeda or other international terrorist groups had any role in the assault,” David D. Kirkpatrick wrote in the Times. “The attack was led, instead, by fighters who had benefited directly from NATO’s extensive air power and logistics support during the uprising against Colonel Qaddafi. And contrary to claims by some members of Congress, it was fueled in large part by anger at an American-made video denigrating Islam.”

The Times story seems to back up the administration’s initial narrative – that a YouTube video sparked a spontaneous uprising, and that terrorists were not involved in the attack.

Nonetheless, Kirkpatrick attempts to make it appear as though he is critical of both congressional Republicans like House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and the Obama administration. 

“Fifteen months after [Ambassador Christopher] Stevens’s death, the question of responsibility remains a searing issue in Washington, framed by two contradictory story lines,” Kirkpatrick wrote. He intended his narrative to walk a middle path:

One has it that the video, which was posted on YouTube, inspired spontaneous street protests that got out of hand. This version, based on early intelligence reports, was initially offered publicly by Susan E. Rice, who is now Mr. Obama’s national security adviser. The other, favored by Republicans, holds that Mr. Stevens died in a carefully planned assault by Al Qaeda to mark the anniversary of its strike on the United States 11 years before. Republicans have accused the Obama administration of covering up evidence of Al Qaeda’s role to avoid undermining the president’s claim that the group has been decimated, in part because of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. The investigation by The Times shows that the reality in Benghazi was different, and murkier, than either of those story lines suggests. Benghazi was not infiltrated by Al Qaeda, but nonetheless contained grave local threats to American interests. The attack does not appear to have been meticulously planned, but neither was it spontaneous or without warning signs.

As others like Breitbart News's Kerry Picket have already noted, the themes of Kirkpatrick’s article directly contradict the reporting of others at the New York Times over the past year or more since the attack in Benghazi. According to Fox News, eyewitnesses to the attack on the ground in Benghazi say there were terror commanders orchestrating the attack and that any claims, like those from the Times's Kirkpatrick, to the contrary are "completely false."

NYT editor defiant on Benghazi report amid lawmaker criticism

A New York Times editor on Monday staunchly defended a controversial report on the Benghazi attack which largely backed the State Department's narrative, amid withering criticism from congressional Republicans and others. 

The State Department, as might be expected, also spoke in defense of the New York Times article. 

"Much of what's in this in-depth investigation ... tracks with what the [internal review board] found and with our understanding of the facts," spokeswoman Marie Harf said Monday. 

The lengthy Times report and the subsequent fallout represent the latest battle over the public narrative of what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Even the State Department's internal review did not offer a definitive explanation of what caused the attack and who was behind it. 

The Times investigation, though, aggravated some of the department's toughest critics by concluding there was no involvement from Al Qaeda or any other international terror group and that an anti-Islam film played a role in inciting the initial wave of attacks. 

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Roger, R-Mich., told "Fox News Sunday" that the intelligence community would dispute that. He said the story was "not accurate." 

But in a defiant column, Times editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal challenged -- in an almost-mocking tone -- those Republicans, whom he claimed "ran screaming to television studios" to air their complaints with the story. 

He argued that those trying to claim Al Qaeda was involved were doing so for strictly political reasons. 

"For anyone wondering why it's so important to Republicans that Al Qaeda orchestrated the attack -- or how the Obama administration described the attack in its immediate aftermath -- the answer is simple. The Republicans hope to tarnish Democratic candidates by making it seem as though Mr. Obama doesn't take Al Qaeda seriously," he wrote. "They also want to throw mud at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who they fear will run for president in 2016." 

Rosenthal also described as "hilarious" the suggestion that the article was meant to give Clinton a boost in 2016. "Since I will have more to say about which candidate we will endorse in 2016 than any other editor at the Times, let me be clear: We have not chosen Mrs. Clinton. We haven't chosen anyone. I can also state definitively that there was no editorial/newsroom conspiracy of any kind, because I knew nothing about the Benghazi investigation article until I read it in the paper on Sunday," he wrote. 

However, while Rosenthal focused only on Republicans' criticism of the article, the piece also generated considerable pushback from Democrats as well as U.S. personnel on the ground in Libya.

'Completely false': Sources on ground in Benghazi challenge NYT report

Fifteen months after the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi which killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, the narrative of the attack continues to be shaped, and reshaped, by politicians and the press.

But a New York Times report published over the weekend has angered sources who were on the ground that night. Those sources, who continue to face threats of losing their jobs, sharply challenged the Times’ findings that there was no involvement from Al Qaeda or any other international terror group and that an anti-Islam film played a role in inciting the initial wave of attacks.

“It was a coordinated attack. It is completely false to say anything else. … It is completely a lie,” one witness to the attack told Fox News.

Sean Smith, a foreign service officer, and former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were also killed in the 2012 assault.

The controversial Times report has stirred a community that normally remains out of sight and wrestles with how to reveal the truth, without revealing classified information.

Fox News has learned that the attack on the consulate started with fighters assembling to conduct an assault.

"Guys were coming into the compound, moving left, moving right…and using IMT (individual movement techniques). … That’s not a spontaneous attack,” one special operator said. 

"One guy was shooting, one guy was running. There are guys watching the gates. … The bosses on the ground were pointing, commanding and coordinating -- that is a direct action planned attack."

The community of operators in Libya that night and since includes the CIA, FBI, U.S. military, U.S. State Department and contractors working for the United States in a number of capacities. 

According to multiple sources on the ground that night, all the intelligence personnel in Benghazi before the attack and there now understand Al Qaeda is a significant threat in Libya. 

Recent reports also suggest that Libyan militia leader Ahmad Abu Khattallah is the mastermind of the attack and had no real connections to Al Qaeda or terrorist organizations.

The crowd was roaring.  The lone man in his impeccable tan colored uniform would step forward toward the lectern, then pause and let his eyes wander over the thousands of up turned faces — all staring at him, waiting for him to speak. And they waited — and they waited.

The man at the lectern made no effort to speak.  He just stood there, almost motionless, and didn’t say a word.

A wave of anxiety, nervousness, began to sweep through the crowd of expectant listeners. The noise level began to recede.  Soon the roar of the crowd was gone completely.  The crowd became quiet and motionless, a reflection of the man they had come expecting to hear speak.

A full sixty seconds would expire before that man would take the one remaining step to the lectern,  and begin speaking.

At first he spoke softly forcing his audience to strain to hear his words. Quickly they were leaning forward, heads cocked, hands cupped behind ears in rapt attention, desperately seeking to hear every word, every syllable, every breath, and lay claim to the wisdom his words would impart.

Then little by little he would increase the volume of his voice until finally he was shouting and gesticulating in a near maniacal manner.  His audience was worked up to a fever pitch ready and willing to do his bidding, no matter the consequences.

Those of you reading this now, if you are near my age, know exactly of whom I speak — Adolf Hitler.   He was a master at oratory.  He was a master actor. He was a master at manipulating his fellowman.  He was a master at dealing death and destruction. He was a master at destroying nations — and — nearly destroyed the world.

Watching a film clip of one of his speeches today sends chills racing up and down my spine.  It is as though just the sound of his voice invokes evil.

He was, quite likely, the greatest orator of the 20th century.

Here in the 21st century, we have another great orator.  He, too has to power to move his listeners to act while disregarding consequences.  He, too, has worshipers — some who even refer to him as “Lord and Master.”

His Name is Barack Hussein Obama.  And he is President of the United States of America.  And he scares the hell out of me! 

If you look at the faces in one of Hitler’s crowds and compare them to the faces in Obama’s crowds, you will see the same worship of their speaker.  But look closely.  Look at the eyes.  Do you see it?  Do you see the vacant, “the lights are on, but nobody’s home” look reflected in those eyes?  It’s the look that makes those tiny little hairs on the back of your neck tingle and stand up.  That’s primal fear, honed to perfection by our ancestors while they still lived in caves.

Trust it. It is telling you:  “Something is dreadfully wrong.”

If you could look BEHIND those blank stares, I feel certain you would see something else, too. Raw fear.  It’s the sane part of the human mind fighting to regain control.  Worshipers always fear — and eventually begin to question.

Given a choice, I will not listen to an Obama speech.   I get the same feeling I would get if told the Battle of Armageddon had begun. Bells and whistles begin going off in the Amygdala of my brain, the part of the brain that controls one’s “flight or fight” reaction.  That’s our caveman ancestors banging on our door in the middle of the night yelling “FIRE!” 

Be afraid.  Be very afraid.  No mere mortal should have that kind of power over his fellow human beings.  It is too easily misused.  It is raw power — and it is corruptible.

Obama’s speeches are chilling to me … almost malevolent.  It’s as though he is using his voice, his tsunami of words, to misdirect the gaze of his worshipers away from all that is not right with America toward a utopian facade of an America that, in reality, does not exist — and never will. 

Encouraging worshipers is never a good idea for mere mortals.  As we said above, worshipers will eventually begin to ask questions.  Sooner or later they will ask the RIGHT question and receive the true answer.  At which point the “worshipee” is in deep trouble.  That mindless crowd can turn on a dime and produce pitchforks and torches that light the night in hate and violence – all directed at the one who deceived them. History is replete with records of just such behavior played out time and again.  The fate of Benito Mussolini springs instantly to mind.

Often less is, indeed, more.  My father was a man of few words.  As a result, when he spoke, the family listened. We knew that even though he did not speak often, when he did — it was important — and usually well thought out.  When he had finished, he had finished.  No force on earth could change his mind.  I admired that, growing up as a lad, and I still do.

As I have grown older I have noticed that my world has been slowing down while the world around me has shifted into hyper drive.  The voices I hear from the hyper drive world now are loud, reverberating, penetrating, harsh, crude, insistent, and aggravating. And I am continuing to learn how to shut them out and listen for that “still, small, voice” of authority (1 Kings 19:11-13 — The Old Testament) asking:  “What are YOU doing here, J. D.?”

It would seem that we have not yet learned that the answer is not carried upon the waves of loud flowery oratory regaling us,  and misdirecting us, with all the right “answers” to all our problems.

Instead, it is within moments of quiet introspection when the still small voice is heard — just above a whisper — but with the gravitas of endless universes.

The retired American military commander who earlier said in a statement released to WND that Americans need to confront Barack Obama’s tyranny now is recommending the Egyptian model through which to do that.

The Egyptian model, Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely explained on a podcast of an Internet radio show, was that 33 million people stood up to their government and told officials no.

The result was that the Egyptian Muslim Brother was removed from power and then-President Mohammed Morsi was removed from office, Vallely explained.

His call for a massive march on Washington came recently on the WBTM (We Become The Media) show.

He was asked whether America can be restored as the shining light on the hill for freedom when the electoral process, which resulted in two presidencies for Obama in 2008 and 2012, “are known to be corrupt.”

Vallely said the absence of leadership in the White House and Congress makes it difficult, and he said, “I’m not even sure our traditional process will straighten our government out in time to save us.”

And he said processes like impeachment simply won’t happen.

Then he suggested the Egyptian model, and he said millions of Americans need to “stand up” to Washington “within the next 12 months.”

He said doing nothing is not an option, because Washington won’t fix itself and “hope is not a strategy.”

“We need something… a no confidence vote,” he suggested. And perhaps legislation that could create a national recall process.

“We need to get off our derrieres, march at the state capitol, march in Washington,” he said. “Make citizens arrests.”

He said when there are those who are “conducting treason… violating the Constitution, violating our laws,” it should not be overlooked.

“When you have a president and his team who don’t care about the Constitution, they will do anything they can to win,” he said.

Vallely has been immensely popular among tea party organizations that are seeking a way to restore the rule of law to Washington.

Among other things, they cite the Obamacare law, and the 15 or more times Obama has changed the law – without consulting Congress.

In a statement earlier to WND, Vallely said a vote of no confidence could be used.

The founder of Stand Up America, an organization that provides education resources for leaders and activists based on the values of the Founding Fathers, said:

“Clearly America has lost confidence and no longer trusts those in power at a most critical time in our history,” Vallely said. “It is true that not all who ply the halls of power fit under that broad brush, but most of them are guilty of many egregious acts and we say it is time to hold a vote of no confidence. It’s time for a ‘recall.’”

Vallely believes the “credibility of our current leadership is gone.”

Now, he said, “we listen to their excuses, finger-pointing, lies and all manner of chicanery.”

He admitted there is no legal authority in a vote of no confidence, but he argued it will “take back the power of discourse.”

“What else is our nation to do now that the ‘rule-of-law’ has effectively been thrown out the window by the Obama administration? How are we to trust our government anymore, now that lying and fraud are acceptable practices?” he asked.

Vallely believes impeachment likely wouldn’t lead to conviction and doesn’t solve the problem, anyway.

“Harry Reid still controls the Senate, so like in Clinton’s day, forget about a finding of guilty,” he wrote. “Incidentally, if Obama was found guilty and removed from office, Joe Biden would step in, Valerie Jarrett still wields all the power, and likely we get more of the same.”

The Constitution can be amended without going through Congress, he pointed out, but it would take too much time, “a luxury we just do not have it we are going to save our republic.”

“That brings us to the other word no one wants to utter, revolution. In our opinion, this is the least palatable option… Others talk about the military taking over as we saw in Egypt; again, we do not support this route,” he said.

The original version was written by Lance Corporal James M. Schmidt in 1987 under the title "Merry Christmas, My Friend."

The audio recording of this adapted version was recorded by Father Ted Berndt and his daughter Ellen Stout. Father Berndt was a priest at Bread of Life Charismatic Episcopal Church in Dousman, Wisconsin, a proud Marine, and a WWII Purple Heart recipient.

The poem was recorded in one take. The recording received a national A.I.R. (Achievement in Radio) award from the March of Dimes and continues to be played in radio stations across the country. 

Father Berndt passed away March 19th, 2004 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. According to his daughter, "All he ever wanted to do was touch lives...to make a difference. We are blessed to share "A Soldier's Silent Night" again with you this Christmas."

App Encourages Conservatives to Take Control of Their ’2nd Vote’ by Outing Corporate Activism

For consumers looking to get more involved and engaged beyond Election Day, there is now an app for that.

Called 2nd vote, the app provides consumers with information about which causes companies, brands and nonprofits support through donations to direct causes or lobbying group. The app was officially unveiled at the Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C., this weekend and with 4,000 downloads already, is sure to be a success.

“Our second vote is being used for issues that we would never support on our own,” 2nd Vote Executive Director Chris Walker told Red Alert Politics. “…The idea is very simple. Your first vote is at the ballot box, but you have a second vote every day with your wallet and you spend it every day. 

It’s time to start spending your second vote the same way you would treat your first vote: with education, information and backing those very ideals you vote for on Election Day.”

2nd Vote boasts a team of researchers who scour public filings, databases and disclosure forms from a host of companies to determine what causes they support — ones the consumer may not be aware of.

Upon downloading the app, which is available across all platforms including Apple, Kindle and Android, consumers can view scores given to different companies from Banana Republic to 7/11. 

There are different industries for users to browse including food and beverage, gas and energy, banking, and apparel and accessories. 

Once a user clicks on a company, they can view the score 2nd Vote has given it on a scale of 1, being actively liberal, to 10, being actively conservative, based on its activities and donations to outside groups like Planned Parenthood.

Scoring is based on five categories: Second Amendment, environment, marriage, pro-life and corporate cronyism. 2nd Vote currently has more than 1,000 scores for 400 companies and is growing every day, with hopes to add a “Made in the U.S.A.” category soon.

"I don’t know anyone on GLAAD and I don’t want to. The A&E channel has been convinced that a small crowd in the United States is more powerful than a man and his opinion. GLAAD is stifling an American’s voice and we need to embrace Phil Robertson and fight back against them.

I am pissed off and I want you to be pissed off enough to start a movement against this action of trying to shut down our speech.

During a discussion about repentance and God, Robertson is asked what he finds sinful.

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there,” he says. “Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”

He goes on to paraphrase Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers — they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

Phil Robertson Under Fire for Anti-Gay Comments-Suspended by A&E Indefinitely

Phil Robertson is used to sharing his honest opinion through A&E’s mega-hit reality television show, Duck Dynasty. The show continues to break records by maintaining an impressive amount of viewers. Robertson, the duck-hunter-turned-evangelist, recently spoke about homosexuality in an interview with GQ. 

“It seems like, to me, a vagina, as a man, would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.” Robertson said before adding, “Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong. Sin becomes fine. Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men. Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

Robertson went on to speak about his concern for the human race, and his family’s underlying value system. “We’re Bible-thumpers who just happened to end up on television,” Robertson said in an effort to downplay his popularity before speaking about the idea of neighborly love. “You put in your article that the Robertson family really believes strongly that if the human race loved each other and they loved God, we would just be better off. We ought to just be repentant, turn to God, and let’s get on with it, and everything will turn around.”

The famous patriarch of the Louisiana family insists that his opinions are not meant to judge others, and shared his explanation. “We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell. That’s the Almighty’s job. We just love ‘em, give ‘em the good news about Jesus – whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort ‘em out later, you see what I’m saying?”

However, Robertson’s comments have caused an uproar. As a result, GLAAD spokesperson Wilson Cruz released the following statement: “Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil’s lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe. He clearly knows nothing about gay people or the majority of Louisianans – and Americans – who support legal recognition for loving and committed gay and lesbian couples.” 

Robertson clarified his comments in a statement to PEOPLE, “I myself am a product of the ’60s; I centered my life around sex, drugs, and rock and roll until I hit rock bottom and accepted Jesus as my Savior. My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the Bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together. However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other.”

When Katie Worthman was a little girl in Austria, she witnessed firsthand Adolph Hitler’s rise to power and the Soviet communist occupation that followed.  She also witnessed, for decades, the distortions of the media when it came to the reporting of the events.
 
From her eyewitness perspective, Worthman said that the whole thing didn’t happen overnight, in a brutal attack, like the media portrays it, but rather, it evolved into a dictatorship gradually, over a period of a few years.  Hitler didn’t come across as someone evil, to be feared, initially.  ”In the beginning, Hitler didn’t look like, or talk like a monster at all. He talked like an American politician.”

Here are some things that occurred in Austria, according to Worthman, that just might look familiar to Americans:

• Hitler was elected with 98% of the vote.
• Hitler destroyed the existing medical system when he brought a national healthcare plan into being.
• First, people were forced to register their guns to cut down on crime.
• Then they were forced to turn them in or risk capital punishment for keeping them.

Worthman’s eyewitness account is eerily reminiscent of what we can see going on in the United States today.

“In 1938, the media reported that Hitler rode into Austria with tanks and guns and took us over. Not true at all,” she says. “The Austrian people elected Hitler by 98% of the vote by means of the ballot box. Now you might ask how could a Christian nation… elect a monster like Hitler. The truth is at the beginning Hitler didn’t look like or talk like a monster at all. He talked like an American politician.

“We also had gun registration. All the Austrian people… had guns. But the government said, ‘the guns are very dangerous. Children are playing with guns. Hunting accidents happen and we really have to have total controlled safety. And we had criminals again. And the only way that we can trace the criminal was by the serial number of the gun.’

“So we dutifully went to the police station and we registered our guns. Not long after they said, ‘No, it didn’t help. The only way that we won’t have accidents and crimes [is] you bring the guns to the police station and then we don’t have any crimes anymore and any accidents. And if you don’t do that: capital punishment.’

"So that’s what we did. So dictatorship didn’t happen overnight. It took five years. Gradually, little by little to escalate up to a dictatorship.

“When the people fear the government, that’s tyranny. But when the government fears the people… that’s liberty. Keep your guns. Keep your guns and buy more guns.”

Austrian citizen Kitty Werthmann, an eyewitness to Anschluss, Hitler's annexation of Austria, confounds recent efforts by gun control advocates to re-write history, by re-affirming that the Nazis did indeed confiscate guns belonging to ordinary citizens.

"The only way we can prevent accidents and crimes is for you to turn-in your guns at the police station, and then we won't have any crimes or any accidents. If you didn't turn in your guns -- capital punishment. So we turned in our guns."

Brian Terry's Family Still Searching for Answers 3 Years After His Death 

The family of slain Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry is still searching for answers three years after his death. Terry was killed with weapons used in the botched gun-running program, Operation Fast and Furious. 

His murder led to ATF official John Dodson blowing the whistle on the government-approved operation that allowed thousands of guns into Mexico, resulting in the death of countless of innocent victims. 

The Terry family is appealing a ruling that they cannot sue the federal government over the program. His cousin, Robert Heyer said, “We know who in ATF and the U.S. attorney’s office were found negligent in putting this operation into place that resulted in the death of Brian Terry, but we still don’t know why.” 

Attorney General Eric Holder was held in contempt of Congress for refusing to release documents on the operation. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) said, “We still don’t know why we were lied to by the Department of Justice and why for 10 months they continued to push a false story about not letting guns walk.” 

The House has sued to obtain documents that they believe may show false statements and a cover-up to Congress. 

Heyer said, “We’ll go to bed with another prayer that no other American law enforcement officer will lose his life like Brian did because of the guns of Operation Fast and Furious.”

The Brian A. Terry Memorial Act - HR 2668 - will honor the service and sacrifice of fallen Border Patrol Agent Terry, who died protecting Americans and securing the border on December 15, 2010. Semper Fidelis & Honor First.


The Border Patrol station in Bisbee, Ariz., will be renamed to honor the memory of agent Brian Terry who died December 15, 2010 after being shot in the line of duty. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, introduced the bill in the House of Representatives July 27.

Our nation's Border Patrol agents have a distinguished history of working to protect our borders. Agent Terry, who served our nation through his military service and his career with the Border Patrol, gave his life defending this country. Naming the Bisbee station in his honor recognizes his sacrifice, service and heroism," Issa said.

"In the past half-century, 70 U.S. Border Patrol agents -- including Agent Terry -- have been killed while protecting our nation," said Pia Carusone, chief of staff for Rep. Giffords (D-Ariz.), whose office worked with Issa on the legislation. "Congresswoman Giffords has led the fight for increased border security so Agent Terry and others will not have died in vain."

Terry's family issued a statement, saying, "From the very start, Brian loved his job as a Border Patrol agent and loved his fellow agents. The new Naco Station named in Brian's honor will serve as a lasting memory for all those who knew Brian."

In December 2010, Agent Terry was shot and killed while on patrol 14 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border near Rio Rico, Ariz., during an armed confrontation with suspected criminals. Prior to joining the U.S. Border Patrol, Agent Terry served in the U.S. Marine Corps and served as a police officer in Michigan.

Agent Terry's murder is linked to Operation Fast and Furious, a reckless program where federal law enforcement agencies knowingly allowed the trafficking of illegally purchased weapons into Mexico, arming drug cartels. The Oversight and Government Reform Committee is conducting an ongoing investigation to determine which U.S. officials are responsible for creating and authorizing the deadly program.

The bill, H.R. 2668, the "Brian A. Terry Memorial Act," has 52 Democratic and Republican cosponsors including principal cosponsor Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), Ranking Member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

The station, located at 2136 S. Naco Highway, is located in the district of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and is only the second border patrol station to be named for a fallen agent. The Border Patrol's Murrieta, Calif., station is named in honor of Agents Theodore L. Newton, Jr. and George F. Azrak, two agents killed on duty in 1967, by an earlier act authored by Rep. Issa.

June 17, 2013 - Full Interview - CBS News investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson sat down with Bill O'Reilly tonight to talk about her recent revelation that her work and home computers were hacked. She described to O'Reilly how she noticed her computers starting up randomly at night, and while she did not say anything directly, she did acknowledge that she has a suspicion of who did it.

Attkisson told O'Reilly that while she was concerned about hackers getting access to her personal finances, that information was not compromised. She said the stories she was working on were Fast & Furious, a "green energy debacle" story, and Benghazi. O'Reilly couldn't help but notice how all of these stories were ones that painted the Obama administration in a negative light.

Attkisson said she got technical help before going to CBS with her concerns. O'Reilly noted the next thing to do is "sue somebody," and asked Attkisson who's under suspicion. Attkission explained she has attorneys advising her not to come forth with all that information. O'Reilly remarked, "I assume you have a suspicion." Attkission admitted, "Well, I think I know."

Wednesday, radio talk show host Sara Marie Brenner interviewed Bill Elliott, the cancer patient who gained notoriety when he appeared on Fox News with Megyn Kelly after his insurance was cancelled. Elliott, you may remember, later received notification of his audit from the IRS on the same day C. Steven Tucker, the man who helped him get his insurance back, received his. After reaching out to SC Governor Nikki Haley, two congressmen and a Democratic US Senator from North Carolina, he was able to get his IRS “audit” terminated.
According to Elliott, the US Senator – presumably Kay Hagan – was especially helpful on that front.

Elliott explained that he got cancer in 2007 when he was exposed to some radiological contamination in his work as a chemical and biological trainer to the military. He received a settlement from the government in 2009, which is the same year that the IRS wanted to audit. However, Elliott explains that settlements like these are tax-exempt, and that the IRS was inquiring about something to which they already should have known the answer.

Elliott went on to claim that an unnamed congressman told him that he believed the IRS inquiry had come “from the top.”

Elliott explained that he wasn’t sure whether he meant that “the top” was the president, the IRS or HHS. Someone “from the top ordered the investigation of me and Steve [Tucker],” he says. Elliott has been in communication with Governor Nikki Haley and other elected officials to obtain information and assistance.

Elliott expects to receive a confirmation soon that the IRS audit is “over with” and that he is “clean and good to go.” He plans to continue to help others who have experienced what he has, including informing others that they too can have their insurance reinstated through HIPAA laws.

I asked Elliott if he thought the congressman had any special reason to believe the IRS harassment had come from the top, and he told me that it was speculation based on the fact that 3 people got notifications around the same time.
That’s right three people. In addition to Elliott and C. Steven Tucker, there was another audit as well – of an individual who wishes to remain anonymous because he still works for the government. Elliott and Tucker got their audits on the same day. The other person must have gotten his first. Elliott told me, “that’s why I stated ‘I knew this was coming.’”

A South Carolina man was diagnosed with cancer and his old insurance was providing him with the doctors and treatment he needed, but that insurance has been cancelled because Obamacare regulations. His new options are so expensive that he's decided to give up and "let nature take its course" rather than put his family under the financial strain of paying for the new insurance that Obamacare requires.
