Well, after listening to President Obama's speech tonight, I have to say that, since I'm not under the spell of Mr. Obama as his staunch supporters are, I can step back and dissect his message of providing much needed health care to the "entire universe"and it not costing the tax-payer 1 red cent. WHAT??? Does he REALLY think we are that STUPID?

The word that comes to mind is "Utopia".  The picture the President Obama would like to paint is that of an ideal world that is orchestrated by government.  His speeches are eloquent, motivating and powerful. The problem is that this speech is filled with lies or half-truths.

The man is on video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpAyan1fXCE telling us in his own words that his "ULTIMATE goal is to have a single payer (universal) Healthcare system.  That he knows we may not get there immediately." But FIRST...we have to take back the White House, the Senate and the Congress". HMMMM...his speech tonight said this is only a way to make the Big, Bad insurance companies play more fairly and give them some competition.  Are we to believe that he has all of a sudden had a change of heart?  I am sure that he never thought that this video would have surfaced. What is amazing is that even with these words being spoken from his mouth, he says that it's a lie that he is in favor of a single payer system.  What???? Does he REALLY think we are DEAF?

The thing that is also of concern to me is it isn't just President Obama's belief in the single payer system, but for the majority of the Democrats. Another area he chose to focus on are the charges that government run healthcare would create "death panels".  To this allegation, President Obama calls it a complete lie. HMMMMM, let's see, his top advisor on the health care reform is Ezekeil Emanuel.  If you don't know who Ezekeil Emanuel is, he is the brother of Rahm Emanuel, Harvard educated MD.  He has written "Complete Lives System". As a bioethicist, he has written extensively about who should get medical care, who should decide, and whose life is worth saving. Dr. Emanuel is part of a school of thought that redefines a physician’s duty, insisting that it includes working for the greater good of society instead of focusing only on a patient’s needs. WHAT????  Does he REALLY think we are BLIND?  Does he not realize we ARE paying attention to the people he surrounds himself with. Especially the ones that have any influence on his decisions or that are in charge of crafting legislation that will affect all of our lives?

Well, I can assure you that I am not DEAF, DUMB or BLIND!  Neither are the millions of other Americans that have not fallen under the Obama spell.  It all comes down to TRUST!  Do you TRUST the flowery speeches that promise you UTOPIA if you TRUST Obama and this administration?  HELL NO!  I don't TRUST the majority of Politicians...and I certainly don't TRUST this President with the Gangster-Type-Government and shady, if not, criminal associates he has surrounded himself with for years. 

Mr. Obama on the campaign trail told audiences, "Judge me by the people with whom I surround myself."  We are Mr. President, and that is exactly why we don't TRUST you.
