The Supreme Court is soon to hear a case that may drastically roll back campaign finance regulation in the United States:
The case involves “Hillary: The Movie,” a mix of advocacy
journalism and political commentary that is a relentlessly negative
look at Mrs. Clinton’s character and career. The documentary was made by
a conservative advocacy group called Citizens United, which lost a
lawsuit against the Federal Election Commission seeking permission to
distribute it on a video-on-demand service. The film is available on the
Internet and on DVD. The issue was that the McCain-Feingold law bans
corporate money being used for electioneering.
The right position for the Court is that McCain-Feingold, and all
other campaign finance regulation, constitutes unconstitutional
limitation on free speech. This means reversing the Court’s 1974 Buckley v. Valeo decision, which held that government limits on campaign spending were unconstitutional but limits on contributions were not.
This distinction is meaningless. If it is OK for a millionaire to
spend his own money promoting his own campaign, why can he not give that
money to someone else, who might be a more effective advocate for that
millionaire’s views, so that this other person can run for office?
More broadly, campaign finance regulation is thought control:
it takes a position on whether money should influence political
outcomes. Whether or not one agrees, this is only one possible view, and
freedom of speech is meant to prevent government from promoting or
discouraging particular points of view.
It would be a brave step for Court to reverse Buckley, but it is the right thing to do.
Conservative group to produce Hillary Clinton documentary

Despite CNN and NBC
canceling planned projects on Hillary Clinton, a conservative
organization announced this week that they were moving forward with a
project of its own about the former First Lady and Secretary of State.
Citizens United Productions,
which bills itself as the “country’s leading conservative filmmaker,”
has produced a number of exposés over the last few years. The
organization made waves in 2008 with Hillary: The Movie, which shed light on Clinton’s public life as she ran for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.
That exposé was also the issue in Citizens United v. Federal Elections Commission
(2008), a landmark Supreme Court decision that overturned the parts of
the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 (McCain-Feingold) and restored free speech rights that were regulated by the law.
“Unlike
CNN and NBC Citizens United Productions will not be deterred in
uncovering the truth behind the ongoing Clinton charade,” said David
Bossie, President of Citizens United Productions, in a statement from the organization.
“As we have seen in our successes with ‘Hillary The Movie’ and most
recently ‘Fast Terry’, Clinton world has unlimited storylines, nefarious
characters, and an overall record American’s should be concerned
about.”
Citizens United had sought equal time from CNN and NBC to
run its exposé on Clinton in concert with the networks’ now-terminated
projects.
“Citizens United is currently in pre-production of our
film that will no doubt shake the Clinton world to the core with a
scheduled release date of early 2016,” added Bossie. “And unlike CNN and
NBC we are not intimidated about airing what Bill and Hillary Clinton
do not want the American people to see.”
The details of the
project, whether it will be an update of its previous exposé or an
entirely different project, were not made available. The release of the
project will coincide with the 2016 presidential election. Clinton is
considered to be the frontrunner for the Democratic Party’s nomination.
Citizen United Productions has previously produced exposés on various topics, including Occupy Wall Street (Occupy Unmasked) and Barack Obama (The Hope and The Change). Its most recent offering is Fast Terry, which is an exposé on Terry McAuliffe, who is the Democratic nominee for Governor of Virginia.

Here is Rush Limbaugh’s response today to Barack Obama’s claim that Vietnamese Communist Dictator Ho Chi Minh was “actually inspired” by the founders of the United States. Classic Rush!
President Barack Obama said Thursday that he and Vietnam's president are committed to completing a regional trade agreement by year's end, saying it will create jobs and boost investment in the Asia-Pacific region and in both countries.
Obama said he and Truong Tan Sang
also had a "very candid conversation" about Vietnam's human rights
record. Sang put it a little more bluntly, saying through a translator
that "we still have differences on the issue."
Human rights activists
say Sang should not have been given the "diplomatic reward" of an Oval
Office visit, which included remarks to media from both countries,
because of the arrests of dissidents and other abuses in the Southeast
Asian nation. Sang's visit to the U.S. is just the second by a
Vietnamese head of state since the former foes resumed relations in
1995.
Across the street from the White
House, dozens of activists assembled in Lafayette Park protesting the
visit and called on Obama to put human rights in Vietnam before trade.
Trade is the first issue Obama said he and Sang had discussed.
Washington is negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership, or TPP, with
Vietnam and 10 other Asia-Pacific nations. It would be the largest
free-trade agreement ever, including countries that make up about 40
percent of world trade.
U.S. Trade Representative Michael
Froman, who met with Sang this week, told a House committee last week
that finalizing the agreement by the end of the year, as the Obama administration wants, is "ambitious" but "doable."
Both Obama and Sang face domestic pressure to deliver stronger economic growth. Obama said the pact could help.
"We're committed to the ambitious goal of completing this agreement
before the end of the year because we know that this can create jobs and
increase investment across the region and in both of our countries,"
Obama told the media, which was invited into his office after the
meeting, which lasted more than an hour.
Before arriving in the U.S., Sang told The Associated Press that American concerns over his country's record on human rights shouldn't hinder the closer military and economic ties desired by the two nations.
Obama said he emphasized to Sang during their meeting the United
States' belief that all countries must respect people's right to basic
freedoms, including expression, religion and assembly.
"We had a very candid conversation about both the progress that Vietnam is making and the challenges that remain," he said.
Sang said he invited Obama to come to Vietnam and that Obama said he'd "try his best" to visit before leaving office in 2017.
Obama said the meeting was a sign of the "steady progression and
strengthening of the relationship" between the countries following a
complex history that includes the Vietnam War. He said they are creating
a "comprehensive partnership" to pursue deeper cooperation in a range
of areas, including trade, commerce, security and other issues.
Obama also said Sang shared with him a copy of a letter sent by Ho
Chi Minh to President Harry Truman, and that he and Sang talked about
the fact that the leader of the Vietnamese nationalist movement was
inspired by the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the
words of Thomas Jefferson.
"Ho Chi Minh talks about his interest in cooperation with the United States," Obama said. "And President Sang indicated that even if it's 67 years later, it's good that we're still making progress."

‘I Don’t Think You All Get It’: Fed-Up Sen. Coburn Tangles With MSBNC Panel Over Tea Party & Constitution
On Thursday, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning
Joe” and blasted the show’s panel for misrepresenting the principles of
the Tea Party, saying they just don’t “get it.” He also gave the panel a
solid history lesson on the Constitution after at least one panelist
admitted he was unsure in which section the enumerated powers were
located.
After talking fondly of Texas candidate for U.S. Senate Ted Cruz and his victory in the runoff election, Coburn said he was “really amused” by the way they spoke about the Tea Party. “I don’t think you all get it,” he added.
“The Tea Party is every person in America who really is fed up with
Washington and recognizes the way we got there was abandoning the core
principles of our country but also abandoning the Constitution,” Coburn
said.
Co-host Lawrence O’Donnell chimed in and completely changed the
subject, not even addressing what Coburn had just said. Instead,
O’Donnell brought up how Coburn had recently apologized to Senate
Majority Leader Harry Reid — a topic that came completely out of the
blue.
Shortly after, one of the panelists suggested that his public display
of civility would work against him within the Tea Party. This is where
Coburn started to heat up.
“You are seeing them totally different than what they are,” he said.
“The picture you paint doesn’t come close to anybody I know in the Tea

“I will not be party
to socializing health care and bankrupting my state in direct
contradiction to our Constitution and our founding principles of limited
government,” Mr. Perry said.
Here is video of Texas Gov. Rick Perry talking about a letter he has
sent to President Barack Obama’s Administration informing them that the
state of Texas will not move forward with implementing ObamaCare. Perry
said Texas will not expand Medicaid, nor will it set up the “HeathCare
Exchanges” proscribed in the ObamaCare legislation.
Perry said to “expand this program (Medicaid) is not unlike adding a thousand people to the Titanic.”

I have faith that the Constitution will be saved as prophesied by Joseph
Smith. But it will not be saved in Washington. It will be saved by the
citizens of this nation who love and cherish freedom. It will be saved
by enlightened members of this Church—men and women who will subscribe
to and abide by the principles of the Constitution.
The Constitution Requires our Loyalty and Support
I reverence the Constitution of the United States as a sacred document.
To me its words are akin to the revelations of God, for God has placed
his stamp of approval on the Constitution of this land. I testify that
the God of heaven sent some of his choicest spirits to lay the
foundation of this government, and he has sent other choice spirits—even
you who hear my words this day—to preserve it.
We, the blessed beneficiaries, face difficult days in this beloved land,
"a land which is choice above all other lands" (Ether 2:10). It may
also cost us blood before we are through. It is my conviction, however,
that when the Lord comes, the Stars and Stripes will be floating on the
breeze over this people.
May it be so, and may God give us the faith and
the courage exhibited by those patriots who pledged their lives and
fortunes that we might be free, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
The Constitution—A Heavenly Banner
EZRA TAFT BENSON Ezra Taft Benson was President of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints when this devotional address was given at Brigham
Young University on 16 September 1986.
On the seventeenth day of September 1987, we commemorate the
two-hundredth birthday of the Constitutional Convention, which gave
birth to the document that Gladstone said is "the most wonderful work
ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose of man" (William Ewart Gladstone: Life and Public Services, ed. Thomas W. Handford [Chicago: The Dominion Co., 1899], p. 323).
I heartily endorse this assessment, and today I would like to pay
honor—honor to the document itself, honor to the men who framed it, and
honor to the God who inspired it and made possible its coming forth.
Some Basic Principles
To understand the significance of the Constitution, we must first
understand some basic, eternal principles. These principles have their
beginning in the premortal councils of heaven.
The Principle of Agency
The first basic principle is agency. The central issue in the premortal
council was: Shall the children of God have untrammeled agency to choose
the course they should follow, whether good or evil, or shall they be
coerced and forced to be obedient? Christ and all who followed him stood
for the former proposition—freedom of choice; Satan stood for the
latter—coercion and force. The war that began in heaven over this issue
is not yet over. The conflict continues on the battlefield of mortality.
And one of Lucifer's primary strategies has been to restrict our agency
through the power of earthly governments.
Look back in retrospect on almost six thousand years of human history!
Freedom's moments have been infrequent and exceptional. We must
appreciate that we live in one of history's most exceptional moments—in a
nation and a time of unprecedented freedom. Freedom as we know it has
been experienced by perhaps less than one percent of the human family.
The Proper Role of Government
The second basic principle concerns the function and proper role of
government. These are the principles that, in my opinion, proclaim the
proper role of government in the domestic affairs of the nation.
[I] believe that governments were instituted of God for the benefit
of man; and that he holds men accountable for their acts in relation to
them. . . .
[I] believe that no government can exist in peace, except such laws
are framed and held inviolate as will secure to each individual the free
exercise of conscience, the right and control of property, and the
protection of life. . . .
[I] believe that all men are bound to sustain and uphold the
respective governments in which they reside, while protected in their
inherent and inalienable rights by the laws of such governments. [D&C 134:1–2, 5]
In other words, the most important single function of government is to secure the rights and freedoms of individual citizens.
The Source of Human Rights
The third important principle pertains to the source of basic human
rights. Rights are either God-given as part of the divine plan, or they
are granted by government as part of the political plan.
If we accept
the premise that human rights are granted by government, then we must be
willing to accept the corollary that they can be denied by government.
I, for one, shall never accept that premise. We must ever keep in mind
the inspired words of Thomas Jefferson, as found in the Declaration of
Independence:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable
Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of
Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. People Are Superior to Governments
The fourth basic principle we must understand is that people are
superior to the governments they form. Since God created people with
certain inalienable rights, and they, in turn, created government to
help secure and safeguard those rights, it follows that the people are
superior to the creature they created.
Governments Should Have Limited Powers
The fifth and final principle that is basic to our understanding of the
Constitution is that governments should have only limited powers. The
important thing to keep in mind is that the people who have created
their government can give to that government only such powers as they,
themselves, have in the first place. Obviously, they cannot give that
which they do not possess.
By deriving its just powers from the governed, government becomes
primarily a mechanism for defense against bodily harm, theft, and
involuntary servitude. It cannot claim the power to redistribute money
or property nor to force reluctant citizens to perform acts of charity
against their will. Government is created by the people. No individual
possesses the power to take another's wealth or to force others to do
good, so no government has the right to do such things either. The
creature cannot exceed the creator.
The Constitution and its Coming Forth
With these basic principles firmly in mind, let us now turn to a
discussion of the inspired document we call the Constitution. My purpose
is not to recite the events that led to the American Revolution—we are
all familiar with these. But I would say this: History is not an
accident. Events are foreknown to God. His superintending influence is
behind the actions of his righteous children.
Long before America was
even discovered, the Lord was moving and shaping events that would lead
to the coming forth of the remarkable form of government established by
the Constitution. America had to be free and independent to fulfill this
destiny. I commend to you as excellent reading on this subject Elder
Mark E. Petersen's book The Great Prologue (Salt Lake City:
Deseret Book Co., 1975).
As expressed so eloquently by John Adams before
the signing of the Declaration, "There's a Divinity which shapes our
ends" (quoted in The Works of Daniel Webster, vol. 1 (Boston:
Charles C. Little and James Brown, 1851), p. 133).
Though mortal eyes
and minds cannot fathom the end from the beginning, God does.
God Raised Up Wise Men to Create the Constitution
In a revelation to the Prophet Joseph Smith, the Savior declared, "I
established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom
I raised up unto this very purpose" (D&C 101:80). These were not
ordinary men, but men chosen and held in reserve by the Lord for this
very purpose.
Shortly after President Kimball became President of the Church, he
assigned me to go into the vault of the St. George Temple and check the
early records. As I did so, I realized the fulfillment of a dream I had
had ever since learning of the visit of the Founding Fathers to the St.
George Temple. I saw with my own eyes the records of the work that was
done for the Founding Fathers of this great nation, beginning with
George Washington. Think of it, the Founding Fathers of this nation,
those great men, appeared within those sacred walls and had their
vicarious work done for them.
President Wilford Woodruff spoke of it in
these words:
Before I left St. George, the spirits of the dead gathered around me, wanting to know why we did not redeem them. Said they, "You
have had the use of the Endowment House for a number of years, and yet
nothing has ever been done for us. We laid the foundation of the
government you now enjoy, and we never apostatized from it, but we
remained true to it and were faithful to God." These were the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and they waited on me for two days and two nights. . . .
I straightway went into the baptismal font and called upon Brother
McCallister to baptize me for the signers of the Declaration of
Independence, and fifty other eminent men. [Discourses of Wilford Woodruff, sel.
G. Homer Durham (Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1946), pp. 160–61]
These noble spirits came there with divine permission—evidence that this
work of salvation goes forward on both sides of the veil.
At a later conference, in April 1898, after he became President of the
Church, President Woodruff declared that "those men who laid the
foundation of this American government and signed the Declaration of
Independence were the best spirits the God of heaven could find on the
face of the earth. They were choice spirits . . . [and] were inspired of
the Lord" (CR, April 1898, p. 89).
We honor those men today. We are the grateful beneficiaries of their noble work.
The Lord Approved the Constitution
But we honor more than those who brought forth the Constitution. We
honor the Lord who revealed it. God himself has borne witness to the
fact that he is pleased with the final product of the work of these
great patriots.
In a revelation to the Prophet Joseph Smith on August 6, 1833, the
Savior admonished: "I, the Lord, justify you, and your brethren of my
church, in befriending that law which is the constitutional law of the
land" (D&C 98:6).
In the Kirtland Temple dedicatory prayer, given on March 27, 1836, the
Lord directed the Prophet Joseph to say: "May those principles, which
were so honorably and nobly defended, namely, the Constitution of our
land, by our fathers, be established forever" (D&C 109:54).
A few years later, Joseph Smith, while unjustly incarcerated in a cold
and depressing cell of Liberty Jail at Clay County, Missouri, frequently
bore his testimony of the document's divinity: "The Constitution of the
United States is a glorious standard; it is founded in the wisdom of
God. It is a heavenly banner" (HC 3:304).
How this document accomplished all of this merits our further consideration.
The Document Itself
The Constitution consists of seven separate articles.
The first three
establish the three branches of our government—the legislative, the
executive, and the judicial. The fourth article describes matters
pertaining to states, most significantly the guarantee of a republican
form of government to every state of the Union. Article 5 defines the
amendment procedure of the document, a deliberately difficult process
that should be clearly understood by every citizen. Article 6 covers
several miscellaneous items, including a definition of the supreme law
of the land, namely, the Constitution itself. Article 7, the last,
explains how the Constitution is to be ratified.
After ratification of
the document, ten amendments were added and designated as our Bill of
Rights.
Now to look at some of the major provisions of the document itself. Many
principles could be examined, but I mention five as being crucial to
the preservation of our freedom. If we understand the workability of
these, we have taken the first step in defending our freedoms.
Major Provisions of the Document
The major provisions of the Constitution are as follows.
Sovereignty of the People
First: Sovereignty lies in the people themselves. Every governmental
system has a sovereign, one or several who possess all the
executive, legislative, and judicial powers. That sovereign may be an
individual, a group, or the people themselves.
The Founding Fathers
believed in common law, which holds that true sovereignty rests with the
people. Believing this to be in accord with truth, they inserted this
imperative in the Declaration of Independence: "To secure these rights
[life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness], Governments are
instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the
governed."
Separation of Powers
Second: To safeguard these rights, the Founding Fathers provided for the
separation of powers among the three branches of government—the
legislative, the executive, and the judicial.
Each was to be independent
of the other, yet each was to work in a unified relationship.
As the
great constitutionalist President J. Reuben Clark noted:
It is [the] union of independence and dependence of these
branches—legislative, executive and judicial—and of the governmental
functions possessed by each of them, that constitutes the marvelous
genius of this unrivalled document. . . . It was here that the divine
inspiration came. It was truly a miracle. [Church News, November
29, 1952, p. 12]
The use of checks and balances was deliberately designed, first, to make
it difficult for a minority of the people to control the government,
and, second, to place restraint on the government itself.
Limited Powers of Government
Third: The powers the people granted to the three branches of government
were specifically limited. The Founding Fathers well understood human
nature and its tendency to exercise unrighteous dominion when given
authority. A constitution was therefore designed to limit government to
certain enumerated functions, beyond which was tyranny.
The Principle of Representation
Fourth: Our constitutional government is based on the principle of
representation. The principle of representation means that we have
delegated to an elected official the power to represent us. The
Constitution provides for both direct representation and indirect
representation. Both forms of representation provide a tempering
influence on pure democracy. The intent was to protect the individual's
and the minority's rights to life, liberty, and the fruits of their
labors—property. These rights were not to be subject to majority vote.
A Moral and Righteous People
Fifth: The Constitution was designed to work with only a moral and
righteous people. "Our constitution," said John Adams (first
vice-president and second president of the United States), "was made
only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the
government of any other" (John R. Howe, Jr., The Changing Political Thought of John Adams, Princeton University Press, 1966, p. 185).
The Crisis of our Constitution
This, then, is the ingenious and inspired document created by these good
and wise men for the benefit and blessing of future generations. It is
now two hundred years since the Constitution was written. Have we been
wise beneficiaries of the gift entrusted to us? Have we valued and
protected the principles laid down by this great document?
At this bicentennial celebration we must, with sadness, say that we have
not been wise in keeping the trust of our Founding Fathers. For the
past two centuries, those who do not prize freedom have chipped away at
every major clause of our Constitution until today we face a crisis of
great dimensions.
The Prophecy of Joseph Smith We are fast approaching that moment prophesied by Joseph Smith when he said:
Even this Nation will be on the very verge of crumbling to pieces and
tumbling to the ground and when the constitution is upon the brink of
ruin this people will be the Staff up[on] which the Nation shall lean
and they shall bear the constitution away from the very verge of
destruction. [In Howard and Martha Coray Notebook, July 19, 1840, quoted by Andrew F. Ehat and Lyndon W. Cook, comps. and eds., The Words of Joseph Smith (Provo, Utah: Religious Studies Center, Brigham Young University, 1980), p. 416]
The Need to Prepare
Will we be prepared? Will we be among those who will "bear the
Constitution away from the very verge of destruction"?
If we desire to
be numbered among those who will, here are some things we must do:
1. We must be righteous and moral. We must live the gospel
principles—all of them. We have no right to expect a higher degree of
morality from those who represent us than what we ourselves are. To live
a higher law means we will not seek to receive what we have not earned
by our own labor. It means we will remember that government owes us
nothing. It means we will keep the laws of the land. It means we will
look to God as our Lawgiver and the source of our liberty.
2. We must learn the principles of theConstitution and then abide by its precepts. Have we read the
Constitution and pondered it? Are we aware of its principles? Could we
defend it? Can we recognize when a law is constitutionally unsound? The
Church will not tell us how to do this, but we are admonished to do it. I
quote Abraham Lincoln:
Let [the Constitution] be taught in schools, in seminaries,
and in colleges; let it be written in primers, spelling-books, and in
almanacs; let it be preached from the pulpit, proclaimed in legislative
halls, and enforced in courts of justice. And, in short, let it become
the political religion of the nation. [Complete Works of Abraham Lincoln, ed.
John G. Nicolay and John Hay, vol. 1 (New York: Francis D. Tandy Co.,
1905), p.43]
3. We must become involved in civic affairs. As citizens of this
republic, we cannot do our duty and be idle spectators. It is vital that
we follow this counsel from the Lord: "Honest men and wise men should
be sought for diligently, and good men and wise men ye should observe to
uphold; otherwise whatsoever is less than these cometh of evil"
(D&C 98:10). Note the qualities that the Lord demands in those who
are to represent us. They must be good, wise, and honest. We must be
concerted in our desires and efforts to see men and women represent us
who possess all three of these qualities.
4. We must make our influence felt by our vote, our letters, and our
advice. We must be wisely informed and let others know how we feel. We
must take part in local precinct meetings and select delegates who will
truly represent our feelings.
I have faith that the Constitution will be saved as prophesied by Joseph
Smith. But it will not be saved in Washington. It will be saved by the
citizens of this nation who love and cherish freedom. It will be saved
by enlightened members of this Church—men and women who will subscribe
to and abide by the principles of the Constitution.
The Constitution Requires our Loyalty and Support
I reverence the Constitution of the United States as a sacred document.
To me its words are akin to the revelations of God, for God has placed
his stamp of approval on the Constitution of this land. I testify that
the God of heaven sent some of his choicest spirits to lay the
foundation of this government, and he has sent other choice spirits—even
you who hear my words this day—to preserve it.
We, the blessed beneficiaries, face difficult days in this beloved land,
"a land which is choice above all other lands" (Ether 2:10). It may
also cost us blood before we are through. It is my conviction, however,
that when the Lord comes, the Stars and Stripes will be floating on the
breeze over this people.
May it be so, and may God give us the faith and
the courage exhibited by those patriots who pledged their lives and
fortunes that we might be free, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
This simple phrase, added to the pledge of allegiance over 50 years ago has been the source of unbelievable debate and heated controversy. Likewise, the phrase 'In God We Trust' on our currency has been targeted and continues to be attacked as improper and politically incorrect. Lawsuits have been filed and legal minds employed to ascertain whether such statements violate the concept of 'separation of church and state'.
As this debate continues, some so called experts have implied or concluded that our Founding Fathers and Patriots were not religious. These secular champions, in an effort to further their own causes, have even painted these great men and women from our history as being devoid of religious passions or even a belief in God. This is a part of their strategy to remove any discussion of God from the public forum.
These men and women were passionately religious and saw the hand of God all around them. To God they gave Thanks for His Hand in the founding of this great nation. To Him, according to their own testimony they turned for wisdom and strength when life and liberty hung in the balance. Certainly the debate on separation of church and state will continue. But no one can dispute how our Founding Fathers and Patriots felt about God. The record is clear!

We ask that all American citizens read and consider this document. We ask that each recognizes it is now our moment in history to act for peaceful restoration of our country. We ask that American citizens do their patriotic duty to preserve and protect the Constitution of these United Sates.
Please distribute this document by any and all available means. This must reach our state capital buildings, our US Senators and Representatives, all of our news and media outlets, our political party headquarters, our White House and every American citizen. Please email, copy and hand out to everyone you meet, mail it and talk with others about this. Saving America is our duty and the time is now. This effort requires the support and action of millions who care. Please help us before this moment and our nation is lost.
America was founded as a nation of laws, the basis of these laws were framed within our Constitution. Our birthright as Americans is the power to select our leaders who then rule with our consent. It is the duty and obligation of all leaders to prove their eligibility to attain their position. It is also the duty of these leaders to function within the framework of our Constitution which provides 3 co-equal branches of government. No office can supersede another co-equal branch or assume powers not delegated by the Constitution. We were guaranteed the right to choose leaders. We were guaranteed the right to representative government. We are guaranteed the right to replace leadership. We believe that when leaders fail to adhere to our Constitution and fundamental values we have the inalienable right to demand that these leaders resign their positions. American leaders rule by consent but that consent must be maintained and is not to be ignored once an office or position is obtained. No position in American government should be secure when removal of an elected official is demanded by a solid, vocal majority of American voters. Our government is selected by us to serve us. We demand that this concept remain as our right.
July 4th, 2010 shall be recorded in history as the day that Americans set forth to demand the resignation of President Barack Hussein Obama. We believe that Mr. Obama has failed in his duty and obligations as Chief Executive representing the American People. We believe that the actions and lack of actions of Mr. Obama's service have damaged our nation and will further diminish our nation, our security, our economy and our future prosperity. We believe that it is now our patriotic duty to demand that Mr. Obama resign from the Presidency of the United States of America effective immediately. We believe it is the duty of Mr. Obama to recognize the desires of American citizens and the best interests of the nation and resign as a matter of honor. We believe Mr. Obama has violated his oath of office and is no longer is capable of serving as President with the confidence and consent of the American People. To remain in office is to rule without consent, this is not how America is governed and we retain the right to ask for the resignation of any failed leader.
We list the following complaints as the evidence to support our demands:
1.Mr. Obama has failed to prove beyond all reasonable doubt his eligibility by birth to serve as President of the United States.
2.Mr Obama has failed his Presidential Oath of Office by failing to protect and defend the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.
3.Mr. Obama has failed to make an effort to protect the citizens of our nation against the invasion of illegal immigrants from a variety of nations through our unsecured southern border. Criminal invaders are known to pass through these borders routinely and it is the duty of the President to prevent this.
4.Mr. Obama has appointed a large number of “Czars” who are then funded and allowed to influence controls over citizens who are not able to elect or reject these un-Constitutional leaders.
5.Mr. Obama has failed in the management of the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster and is using the tragedy to implement regulations and penalties beyond his Constitutional authority.
6.Mr. Obama is actively destroying the economy of the Gulf region by imposing crippling industry controls beyond his Constitutional powers.
7.Mr. Obama is implementing policies that will raise gasoline and fuel prices to levels that will undermine the economy and damage the personal finances of a majority of United States citizens.
8.Mr. Obama is actively interfering with the power of several state governments and their ability to act in the best interests of their citizens. In particular this refers to the Gulf region citizens and those in Arizona who seek only to secure the safety and security of their homes, businesses and economies.
9.Mr. Obama has repeatedly insulted or abandoned long term and valued United States trade and military allies including denying defensive weapons and installations.
10.Mr. Obama has contributed to de-stabilization of the Middle East by failing to continue our tradition of support for Israel.
11.Mr. Obama has contributed to de-stabilizing the Middle East by failing to take strong actions to prevent the development of nuclear arms by the nation of Iran.
12.Mr. Obama threatens the future prosperity of the United Sates by continuing record levels of deficit spending.
13.Mr. Obama has violated our Constitution and his Oath of Office by seizing federal control of privately owned banks, insurance companies and auto-makers
14.Mr. Obama, with the aid of Congress, has succeeded in establishing a new model for the management of health care in this nation that is now demonstrated to violate every cost projection and coverage guarantee that is was promised to ensure.
15.Mr. Obama has lost the confidence of the American people by failing to adequately and effectively address serious national issues while maintaining a vigorous entertainment and personal schedule.
We believe that each day of failed Presidential leadership represents a clear and present danger to our nation. We believe that continuing the current White House management and policies leaves our nation vulnerable to international enemies, at risk of extreme financial damage, imminent destruction of our Gulf economy and eco-system, and subject to unsustainable national debt for generations to come.
This list of charges and statements is not complete but we believe it is absolutely sufficient to justify the demand for President Barack Hussein Obama to immediately resign from office as the President of the United States of America. We will continue to demand this. We pledge to gather support of an increasingly large and vocal majority until this demand is met.

This is a letter from a retired Naval Aviator and concerned citizen. It is an email that he sent to a few of his friends in June of 2009. He never expected it to make it's way across the country. There are other emails that have been circulating that have been embellished by others but this is the actual email that he wrote. I have emailed him to confirm this information. Although he does agree with everything they added, he just wishes they hadn't published it in conjunction with his piece. He really hits the mark................
Friends & Fellow Americans,
When the storm finally hits (and it will), those of you who supported the Obama administration will be affected as well. It won’t just be us gun owners or Fair Taxers, or Pro-Lifers that get hit. You’ll be right there next to us.
You see, you all thought the Conservatives were nut cases. You know, all of us who believe in God, small government, the Second Amendment, etc. And you thought you could just go back to sleep after the election was over. In your world, America will continue as before. You’ll still have the same rights, the same nice house, the same big screen television – it’s all good. After all, your high school football team won and the other team lost – go team! Even if you have bothered to look up from the daily grind since Nov 4th, you dismissed everything that has occurred as “politics as usual” – “the same old stuff”.
In the end, it’ll all be OK won’t it?
Not this time. There are a growing number of citizens in the US that are ready to fight to shut down the government’s grab of personal freedom, it’s blatant abuse of the constitution, and it’s attempt to replace the American way of life with socialism. You have to listen carefully to hear them, but they are there. I won’t start that fight, but when it goes down I will join it.
As for you, why you’ll be shocked because you didn’t see it coming. And eventually you’ll be saddened when you see that we have truly lost the way of life with which you grew up. You’ll be saddened that your children and grandchildren live in a socialist, government-controlled gulag where their every movement from cradle to grave is tracked by the government. But most of all, you’ll be saddened by the death of friends and relatives who are brave enough to fight and die for something they believe in.
You know, McCain wasn’t much of a candidate. I’ll give you that. He was the lesser of two evils for most of us. I don’t blame you for not voting for him since, at the time, you didn’t know what we all know now. But at least John McCain was an American. He was a supporter of the American way of life and he understood that you can’t negotiate with terrorists. He understood and appreciated the sacrifice made by my father and other members of the Greatest Generation.
Mark my words friends. All across America groups are forming. They are forming out of anger and out of desperation at the thought of losing America. They’re not militia groups, terrorists as the Department of Homeland security would have you believe; they are Americans, loyal to the constitution. They are mothers and fathers and grandparents. They belong to groups like the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps, the Patriotic Resistance, the Constitution Party, the Young Conservatives, the 9/12 Project, and Grassfire. Right now they are fragmented, each focused on their own cause. But sometime in the next two years, our government is going to do something really stupid and these groups will come together. Watch for it, wait for it…get ready. It will happen.
When that event happens, whatever “it” is, our great country is going to plunge into chaos for a while. I pray to God that we make it through that time and emerge a stronger, smarter country.
